Day 3 - The Chameleon (Part 4) Imitate Christ
Day 3: The Name Above Every Name
Reading: Philippians 2:9-11 — a declaration that God has exalted Jesus and given him a name above every name, at which every knee will bow and every tongue confess his lordship.
Devotional: There is power in the name of Jesus that cannot be replicated by any cultural trend, political movement, or self-help philosophy. When the congregation sang that there is healing in the name, power in the name, salvation in the name, they were not simply singing lyrics. They were proclaiming a reality that history has confirmed repeatedly. Darkness bows. Disease retreats. Shame dissolves. The name of Jesus is not a lucky charm or a religious formality. It is the authority under which all of creation ultimately operates. To carry that name into your workplace, your home, and your neighborhood is to carry the most transformative force the world has ever encountered.
Reflection: Do you treat the name of Jesus as a living authority in your daily life, or has it become routine and familiar without weight or expectation?
Practical Application: Before you enter a difficult conversation, a challenging environment, or a moment of personal weakness today, pause and deliberately invoke the name of Jesus. Let it be a conscious act of faith, not a reflex.
