Day 2 - The Chameleon (Part 4) Imitate Christ
Day 2: Imitating the One Who Broke Every Script
Reading: Ephesians 5:1-2 — Paul urges believers to imitate God as dearly loved children, living lives overflowing with love and following the example of Christ, who gave Himself up as an offering on our behalf.
Devotional:
Jesus was a constant disruptor of social expectation. He reached across every boundary that culture had drawn, touching those who were deemed untouchable, offering grace to those the religious establishment had written off, and extending mercy to those hanging on crosses beside Him. When Paul instructs us to imitate God, he is not asking for a surface-level impression. He is calling us to study the pattern of Christ so deeply that His movements become our movements. An understudy does not simply memorize lines. They internalize the character until it becomes second nature. Following Jesus means stepping out of your comfortable circle and loving the person no one else is reaching toward. It looks unconventional. It is supposed to.
Reflection Questions:
Practical Application: Identify one person in your workplace, neighborhood, or church community who feels overlooked. Perform one deliberate act of kindness toward them today with no expectation of acknowledgment or return.

Reflection Questions:
- Who in your life has been placed outside the boundaries of your natural comfort zone?
- What would it look like to cross that boundary this week in a specific and practical way?
